Renaming your Stencil and TemplatePlease be advised that the process described below should be done carefully. Please do not hesitate to contact the Triaster Support Desk if help is required. Damage caused to the system due to issues introduced by users following this process will no longer be supported by Triaster. The Stencil and Template files provided following design work with Triaster reside within your MapStore for use by all mappers to create and update processes. Although it is not expected that the names of these files will ever change, you may decide to change them at some point. When you change filenames of the Stencil and Template it will break this link between them. This means that when new maps are created the Stencil will not load in Visio. It also means that any existing or new maps that are published will not publish with a Stencil attached which will make later editing a much longer task, as the Stencil will need to be re-loaded every time. In order to re-name the files whilst maintaining their link please follow the below steps:
In the background, Visio saves the full path of the stencil in the template.? If the files are then moved, Visio has a hierarchy of places that it looks for a stencil of the same name (same directory as the template, templates path etc) and so the stencil is usually maintained. |
